What year was the first iPhone released?

Back then, they were offering the iPhone 3GS 8GB for free on 24-month contract of Maxis i-Value 4 postpaid plan (RM375/month) or at RM2,540 with a 6-months contract of Value Plus 80 postpaid plan (RM80/month). Today, you can get an iPhone easily from the big 4 telcos, Apple Online store and authorised resellers.
