Validation
After you’ve set up the catalog, the process will continue with the validation of the information that’s presented in the catalog. To run the validation, select your catalog, and under Validate on the Catalog tab, select Validate catalog. This step is required; you won’t be able to use your catalog in the e-commerce B2B site if the catalog doesn’t pass validation. You can view the results of your catalog and address errors when the batch job has finished. To ensure that the catalog passes, you can choose from different approaches:
- Only add B2B online channels; if you add point-of-sale (POS) stores or a call center to the catalog, the validation will fail.
- Ensure that no uncategorized products are present.
- Ensure that all the items that are assorted to each channel are associated with the catalog.
